Alumnus Pin-Yu Chen receives 2023 IJCAI Computers and Thought Award

Former Hero-group PhD student, Pin-Yu Chen now at IBM, is the winner of the 2023 International Joint Conferences on Artificial Intelligence (IJCAI) Computers and Thought Award.  Dr. Chen is recognized for his contributions to consolidating properties of trust, robustness and safety into rigorous algorithmic procedures and computable metrics for improving AI systems. The award is presented to outstanding young scientists in artificial intelligence. Dr. Chen is currently a Principal Research Scientist of the Trusted AI Group, IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center. He is also the Chief Scientist of RPI-IBM AI Research Collaboration program.
